GODAVARI HANDLOOMS

Only Handloom.
Never Powerloom.

Every saree is woven by hand, on a handloom, by a weaving family. No power-driven machines. No mill imitations. No exceptions.

“A powerloom makes a thousand sarees the same. A handloom makes one saree, once.”

How to recognise real handloom

Turn it over

Inspect both sides and the weave. Small variations may be present, but they are not proof on their own.

Feel the border

Look at how the border and body are woven. Texture varies with the weave and finishing.

Ask who wove it

Ask about the weaving family, the loom and sourcing evidence. A pattern or label alone cannot establish handloom.

A few considered answers

Handloom, understood.

How do I recognise an authentic handloom Narayanpet cotton saree?

Ask about the hand-operated loom and weaving source. Inspect the reverse, selvedge and border; subtle variations can be present, but reed marks or a pattern alone cannot prove that a saree is handloom.

Why are your handloom Narayanpet sarees priced at ₹1,680 + separate shipping?

We do not inflate our saree prices to hide delivery costs. You pay the listed saree price (₹1,680), with shipping charged separately: ₹80 per saree for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ₹100 per saree elsewhere in India.

How do I wash and care for pure handloom Narayanpet cotton?

For the first two washes, gently hand wash in cold water with mild liquid detergent and dry in natural shade. Ask us for any colour-specific care guidance for your chosen saree.

How are shipping charges calculated and how fast do you dispatch?

Shipping is charged per saree using your delivery pin code: ₹80 for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ₹100 for other Indian states. We inspect each saree and dispatch within 24–48 hours. Delivery after dispatch is 3–4 days for AP/Telangana and 5–10 days elsewhere in India. Courier details appear on your order page; contact us on WhatsApp for international orders.
